Near to Ceprano is the Archaeological Site of Fregellae, an ancient Roman colony. The artefacts recovered during the excavation works that started in 1978 are on display in the Antiquarium of Ceprano (housed in the Palazzo Comunale), where visitors can relive the history of this ancient city,

Situated at the foot of Montecassino the site includes the National Archaeological Museum, the tomb of Ummidia Quadratilla, a Roman Theatre, an Amphitheatre and a Mausoleum.
